Excerpt: "Gilead Sciences' treatments for hepatitis C... achieved cure rates of more than 90 percent... sales... have been falling ever since... success... gradually exhausted the available pool of treatable patients... curing existing patients also decreases the number of carriers able to transmit the virus to new patients, thus the incident pool also declines … Where an incident pool remains stable (eg, in cancer) the potential for a cure poses less risk to the sustainability of a franchise."
Gordon: Health is not sustainable. There's no money in it!
Excerpt: "More than 3,000 people from across the U.S.... shared... how their decisions have affected their health and financial well-being... Some can’t afford to insure their children... Some older adults are counting down the years until they qualify for Medicare... tough kitchen-table decisions about health care faced by many families."
We say: Health insurance is a misnomer. It's actually illness insurance. The current medical system is broken. The environment is toxic, much of the food is toxic, then you pay for drugs to treat the symptoms of toxicity. The only way to insure health is to remove the toxins while giving your body what it needs so it can keep you healthy as it was designed to do.
